"It's another daring black comedy by one of the most consistently inventive moviemaking teams of the last decade, brothers Joel and Ethan Coen." - Gene Siskel, Chicago Tribune

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of what some say is the Coen Bros. best film with this special screening of the 4K restoration of Fargo! Filmed on location in the dead of winter, this classic neo-noir black comedy follows Frances McDormand (Joel’s wife) as a pregnant Minnesota police chief investigating a series of homicides committed in the wake of a kidnapping scheme turned comedy of errors orchestrated by William H. Macy’s stuttering car salesman. Replete with classic Coen tropes alongside the stunning cinematography of lifelong collaborator Roger Deakins, the film is truly a modern day classic. The film took home tons of accolades at various festivals, not least of which were Best Director at Cannes, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actress from the Academy, and Best Film at the Independent Spirit Awards. Roger Ebert said, "One of the best films I've ever seen... films like Fargo are why I love the movies." You betcha!
