”An artfully made animation film that strays from contemporary conventions.” -The Hollywood Reporter
Hélène Giraud and Thomas Szabo’s charming French/Belgian animated film, Minuscule: Valley of the Lost Ants plays at the Gables Cinema on Saturday & Sunday, September 12 and 13 at 11:00 am as part of our Family Day on Aragon series. When a picnic sparks a warfare between two tribes of ants, a bold ladybug finds himself in the middle of the battle. The dialogue-free, beautifully animated family film received the 2015 César Award for Best Animated Film. Peter Debruge of Variety notes that Minuscule is “a French pic that recognized real-world insects as plenty fascinating in their own right.” This film is appropriate for ages 3 and up.
