Reopening FAQ

Welcome back! Our doors reopen Monday 9/21 and we can’t wait to see you! Why should you come to Gables Cinema in the time of COVID-19? As a local nonprofit arts organization, our community is our priority. We will not compromise your health and safety for profits. Things have changed. We’re taking every precaution to ensure that your visit is safe and satisfying when you are ready to come back and enjoy the shared experience of cinema. Read our comprehensive, ten-page plan here.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets may only be purchased online and in advance from either our website or by calling the box office (786.472.2249). Only debit or credit cards accepted; sorry, no cash sales. Limit 4 tickets per order.

Can I reserve my seat in advance?

Yes, reserved seating is now in place and required. Reduced capacity (50%) and staggered seating is in effect to accommodate social distancing.

Do I have to wear a mask?

We kindly ask you to wear your mask over your nose and mouth inside the building common areas. Miami-Dade County guidelines ask that you also wear a mask while watching the movie.

Can I buy concessions?

Yes, we have a limited menu available for purchase when ordering your ticket or at the Cinema when you arrive. Eating and drinking, by order of Miami-Dade County, are only allowed in designated areas.

What other steps have you taken to ensure the safety of patrons and employees?

Our main priority is keeping you and all of us safe. Our comprehensive health and safety plan is approved by Miami-Dade County, the City of Coral Gables, and the Coral Gables Fire Department. Read the ten-page document here.
