A Faithful Man
Friday, 8/30 to Thursday, 9/5
“If you need someone to direct and star in a movie about a forlornly handsome Frenchman caught between two gorgeous femme fatales, better call Louis Garrel.” – Jordan Mintzer, The Hollywood Reporter
Years after she left him for his best friend, Abel (Louis Garrel) gets back together with his recently widowed old flame Marianne, but soon finds himself embroiled in all sorts of dramas: the come-ons of a wily jeune femme, the machinations of Marianne’s morbid young son, and some lingering questions about exactly what happened to his girlfriend’s first husband. Shifting points of view as nimbly as its players switch partners, actor/director Garrel’s A Faithful Man — co-written with the legendary Jean-Claude Carrière — is a beguiling bedroom farce about the elusive nature of romantic attraction.
Tickets to these screenings are $12.75 and under. Cinema members pay only $8.
