Summer Film Camp
June 12 - July 21, 2017
The Florida Film Institute is excited to announce a summer partnership for the seventh year with the Coral Gables Cinema. CINEMA, a film education summer camp, will be held from June 12 to July 21, 2017. Up to 25 high school students ages 13 to 18 are invited to attend the workshops that meet on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
There will be three field trips which will take place during the camp sessions (on a selected Thursday or Friday). FFI gives students the opportunity to focus on essential and practical aspects of commercial motion picture production, including script preparation, cinematography, lighting, sound recording, directing, acting and music. The program features instruction by South Florida Film Industry professionals. “We are very excited to present this series of filmmaking workshops for teens in the South Florida community,” said Stephanie Martino, Founder and President of FFI. “CINEMA does an excellent job of teaching the basics of filmmaking, and our summer camp defines each student as a filmmaker.”
The total camp fee for six weeks is available at a reduced rate of $695.00 plus a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee is required. FFI is able to offer this discounted fee to each participant because of the generosity of our sponsors. Interested students must fill out the required registration form. A phone interview will be set up with the parent and then the student.
