In response to Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Paramount Pictures commissioned Fleischer Studios (the pioneers behind Betty Boop and Popeye the Sailor) to create the second (and their first) feature-length animated film: Gulliver's Travels. This adaptation of Jonathan Swift's satirical novel focuses on the story of a traveler stranded on the small-sized island of Lilliput.
