Hot Fuzz

Saturday, 6/23

Hot Fuzz is everything an action-comedy should be. It achieves through parody what most films in the genre can't accomplish straight.” – Nathan Rabin, The AV Club

After watching pretty much every action film there is, director Edgar Wright and writer Simon Pegg concocted the brilliant Hot Fuzz, a mash-up of genre conventions that honors the works it borrows from and ends up being more than the sum of its parts. Pegg plays an over-achieving London cop transferred to a quiet village after his perfect record puts his entire department to shame. There, he’s partnered with an oafish constable (Nick Frost) and soon uncovers a series of suspicious accidents and events that lead to honest-to-goodness crime.

After Hours is the best films you never saw on the big screen (or maybe you did) from late-night cult classics to foreign favorites and even summer blockbusters on weekends. Please note that unclaimed pre-ordered tickets will be sold to the rush line 30 mins after showtime.
