Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (70mm)

Saturday, 4/13

“It’s a beautiful machine, thought out and revved up to the last detail, with no other purpose but to delight – and it delights.” – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle

Three years after he recovered the Ark of the Covenant, dashing archaeology professor Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) returns for another adventure – this time with his dad, Henry Jones, Sr. (Sean Connery)! In The Last Crusade, “Junior” learns that his father has been kidnapped by Nazis while searching for the fabled Holy Grail. Now it’s up to Indy to (once again) defeat Hitler’s occult fanatics, rescue his dad, and secure the most precious archaeological find in the world. Filmmakers Steven Spielberg and George Lucas round out the father-son story with a lengthy prologue featuring the late River Phoenix as a young Indy, showing us how future whip-wielding, fedora-wearing, and snake-fearing adventurer got started. A massive success when released 30 years ago, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade not only garnered an Academy Award but also holds the distinction of being the very first film to receive a PG-13 rating.

These 70mm presentations are made possible thanks to generous donations from Magna-Tech Electronic and an anonymous donor.
