Meet Me in St. Louis

“Gay and quaint, and tuneful as a music box and excellent entertainment for any one of any age.” —Mae Tinee, Chicago Tribune
“The sublime Minnellian spectacle of Judy Garland singing ... A great film.” —Dave Kehr, Time Magazine
THIS IS A MEMBERS-ONLY FREE SCREENING.
Four seasons in the six-person Smith clan pass in day-to-day joy and tribulation — from summer 1903 up to the opening of the 1904 World’s Fair. But teen romances and a dream existence (in the Vincente Minnelli-crafted turn-of-the-century home) are threatened when Mr. Smith announces the family’s imminent move from St. Louis to New York City. The film’s timeless score includes “The Trolley Song,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” and The Boy Next Door.” And its justly celebrated cast is topped by eight-year-old Margaret O’Brien and the amazing Judy Garland.
