Ebenezer Scrooge, portrayed by Albert Finney, embodies the characteristic of a miser. He possesses great wealth, but he is extremely frugal and unwilling to spend his money. Moreover, he takes advantage of his employee Bob Cratchit, played by David Collings, who is a kind-hearted individual. However, on the night of Christmas Eve, Scrooge experiences a shocking revelation when he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, portrayed by Alec Guinness. Marley warns Scrooge that he will be visited by three spirits, including the Ghosts of Christmas Past, played by Edith Evans, and Present, portrayed by Kenneth More.
