The Belles of St. Trinian's
Ends Thursday 9/3
"Possibly the boldest, broadest, burlesque feature ever seen." – David Robinson, Sight & Sound
The schoolgirls of St. Trinian's are more interested in betting on horses than in their schoolwork in this raucous comedy based on the cartoons of Ronald Searle. The wild girls are abetted by the headmistress and her twin brother - both roles by played by legendary actor Alastair Sims. This classic comedy, which spawned several sequels, was written & produced by Frank Launder and Sidney Gilliat, both of whom wrote the script for Alfred Hitchcock's The Lady Vanishes.
