The Doors: The Final Cut

Friday, 7/26 to Thursday, 8/1

“It’s a thrilling spectacle — the King Kong of rock movies — featuring a starmaking ball-of-fire performance by Val Kilmer as Morrison.” – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

Starring Val Kilmer in a larger-than-life performance as Jim Morrison, The Doors: The Final Cut captures then hedonistic chaos of the late ‘60s, following the life and times of the band’s enigmatic and magnetic front man from cradle to grave. Oliver Stone’s powerful musical portrait, featuring an amazing soundtrack including over twenty-five songs from The Doors’ catalogue, charts Morrison’s turbulent relationship with his muse Pamela Courson (Meg Ryan), the formation of the band in Southern California, his experimentation with hallucinogens and the occult, and his tragic death at the age of 27 in Paris. The film’s stunning 4K restoration just premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
