EARTH MONTH SCREENINGS 🌱
In recognition of Earth Month, Coral Gables Art Cinema and Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL) Miami present a timely documentary about everyday Americans on the front lines of climate change. This screening features an introduction and post-screening Q&A with CCL Miami Group Leader Greg Hamra.
We humans are a force of nature. At the same time human activities alter the basic elements of life–earth, air, water, and fire–those elements change human life in turn.
In this riveting and visually rich drama blending art and science, we follow renowned environmental photographer James Balog (Chasing Ice) as he explores wildfires, hurricanes, sea level rise, a struggling coal mining community, and our changing air supply. With rare compassion and heart, The Human Element highlights Americans on the front lines of climate change, inspiring us to re-evaluate our relationship with the natural world.
Admission is only $4 per ticket!
Guest speaker Greg Hamra leads Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) Miami, the "ground-zero" chapter of the nonprofit, nonpartisan grassroots advocacy climate change organization that exists to create the political will for climate change solutions by enabling individual breakthroughs in the exercise of personal and political power.
This event is presented in partnership with the Citizens' Climate Lobby Miami Chapter, the Climate Reality Project Miami-Fort Lauderdale Chapter, the University of Miami Office of Sustainability and the City of Coral Gables' Sustainability Advisory Board.

In addition to our new releases, be sure to join us for these special limited, or one-time-only, screenings.
