The Land Before Time
Saturday, 11/12 & Sunday, 11/13 at 11:00 am
"As handsome and honest an animated feature as any produced since Walt Disney`s death; it may even be the best." - Dave Kehr, Chicago Tribune
For many of us, the love and fascination of dinosaurs started with watching director Don Bluth's beloved animated feature The Land Before Time. Little Foot (voiced by Gabriel Damon) is an orphaned brontosaurus that must find his way back to his family in the Great Valley after a brutal earthquake splits the tribe apart. Filled with harrowing lands and menacing creatures, Little Foot gains lifelong friends and most importantly, an understanding of who he is. It is no surprise that the iconic sci-fi filmmakers Steven Spielberg and George Lucas produced this cherished family favorite. During its time, The Land Before Time was a box office success worldwide, grossing $48 million at the domestic box office, as well as beating the Disney film, Oliver & Company, which was released on the same day. The New York Times raves, “The Land Before Time is so authentically geared to the thinking of children that it should charm adults as well.” By the end of the film, Littlefoot, Cera, Spike, Ducky and Petrie will hold a special place in your heart. This film is suitable for ages 6 and up.
