Tout Va Bien

Monday, October 10

“One of Godard's angriest satires.” – Michael Atkinson, Village Voice

“A haunting meditation on the '60s legacy, and a film that's aged in fascinating and instructive ways.” – Nathan Rabin, AV Club

In 1972, newly radicalized Hollywood star Jane Fonda joined forces with cinematic innovator Jean-Luc Godard and collaborator Jean-Pierre Gorin in an unholy artistic alliance that resulted in Tout Va Bien. This free-ranging assault on consumer capitalism and the establishment left tells the story of a wildcat strike at a sausage factory as witnessed by an American reporter (Fonda) and her has-been New Wave film director husband (Yves Montand).

In honor of film legend Jean-Luc Godard's life and career, Coral Gables Art Cinema presents seven of his films, including Breathless (1960), Vivre Sa Vie (1962), Band of Outsiders (1964), Pierrot Le Fou (1965), Masculin Féminin (1966), Weekend (1967), and Tout Va Bien (1972). Watch all seven films with the $60 series pass or the $100 dual series pass for two people. Or purchase individual tickets here.

Join us at the Gables Cinema during our special tribute screenings, honoring the life and careers of beloved filmmakers who have passed.
